"Stayed here last night, on a boxing day, and the experience was great. The rooms were clean, well presented and the gentleman who welcomed us at reception was great. Price was reasonable."

"Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Didn't use the pool, but the kids that did looked like they were having fun. The place is a little bit dated and a little bit noisy from highway traffic. The continental breakfast is adequate. Would absolutely stay here again."

"Stayed here recently. Service was great. Room was great apart from the blind being dirty, looked like it had mould. There were cobwebs in the room. The bathroom was great apart from holes in the tiles in the shower cubicle. Looked as if a towel rail had been removed, the attachment parts left on the wall. The Southgate is a 4 star motel, they need to lift their game a bit I feel. Would stay there again even tho I..."

"If you are in the Mount there really only is one option for where to stay. Go to the SouthGate. Andrea, Kate and Brodie at the front desk are amazing!! Great customer service every time and always happy to help. The place is close to everything you need with Woolies, BWS, Dan Murphy's and great pubs all within walking distance. Big rooms with King bed that are always clean! 5 stars from me every time :)"
